One of my favorite sayings is, “Life is like a jigsaw puzzle, but they forgot to give us the lid.” However, we have all the pieces we need to create something magical. I began putting the jigsaw pieces together at age three, and three decades later, my soul led me to become a sound healer.
Falling in Love with Sound
I fell in love with music around the age of three—the first time I recall hearing the melodic sounds of a piano from the speakers of our little black and white TV (I may be dating myself here). The piano was my first love, and I had the opportunity to study with the Royal Conservatory of Music as a child for nearly twelve years.
Sound Became My Medicine
In 2003, following a profound spiritual experience which elevated my frequency beyond my comprehension at the time, I found myself turning to sound again. This time I sought solace and a safe place to recenter my energy. After studying sound healing at Soul Connections, and The Transformational Arts College of Spiritual and Holistic Training, I studied sound healing pioneers/mentors of Eastern and Indigenous traditions. Sound became my medicine and the language of my soul.
Holding Sacred Space and Soundscape Meditations
Since 2005, I have held sacred space for hundreds of individuals and groups to receive healing sound vibrations through various instruments I play. These instruments include the crystal lyre, Tibetan bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, Tingsha, Koshi chimes, steel tongue drum and more.
